Creative Pathways
Our final Creative Pathways Commission is an open call for Central Beds based creatives for any project, workshop, performance, exhibition or R&D ideas that you have that are with and/or for children and young people. We are looking to support ideas that will help you to develop your practice.
As part of the commission process you will attend 4 x mentoring sessions to support you in developing your idea and reflecting on your next steps.
Eligibility and how to apply:
You must be a resident of Central Bedfordshire and the project/activity needs to take place in Central Bedfordshire.
Please submit an Expression of Interest using the google form below. We want to hear about your project idea and check that you are eligible. We may invite you to complete a full application.
Timeline:
Expressions of interest open on the 15th September 2025.
Expression of interest deadline: 26th September 2025. If we receive a large number of commissions we may close applications earlier than this date.
Commission awarded by: 6th October 2025
Your commission activity and mentoring sessions will need to have been completed by the 19th December 2025
Fee: Our commission budget is a total of £2,000. We may decide to support a number of smaller ideas or one large commission.

Examples of projects
A performance of a piece of interactive storytelling you have been developing to be delivered in Libraries.
Visual arts workshops with young people and an exhibition of their work in a local venue.
A research and development phase for a new performance for early years.
Sensory workshop sessions for children with SEND needs at a local school.
Funding to support a work experience placement/shadowing opportunity with a cultural organisation to gain valuable skills and insight to the creative sector.
This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
