We’re thrilled to announce that we will be continuing our wonderful work with the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller community this summer. The project will focus on the heritage and stories of families living on Gypsy, Roma and Traveller sites in Greensands Country.
We will be regularly visiting three sites collaborating with the community on a range of creative activities that explore culture, place and heritage. This project will be shared with local schools and will culminate with co-curated exhibitions being featured in local libraries. This project is funded by Historic England as part of their Everyday Heritage programme.
Through our Apples and Lollipops project, we continue to build trust and break down barriers with this seldom heard community. We aim to nurture these relationships moving forward, delivering arts projects across Central Bedfordshire.
